How to delete your account and all associated data

1. Delete Your Account in the App

You can delete your account directly within the Oriji Countdown app by following these steps:

  1. Open the Oriji Countdown app
  2. Tap your Profile tab (bottom right)
  3. Tap About
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Complete the optional feedback survey
  6. Confirm deletion in the final dialog

2. Request Deletion via Email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." Please include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.

3. What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Account information: Email, nickname, avatar, and linked social accounts (Apple, Google, Facebook)
  • Events: All countdown events you created
  • Collaborations: Friend connections and shared events
  • Tarot records: All tarot draw history and interpretations
  • Device tokens: Push notification registrations
  • Subscription data: Local subscription records (App Store/Google Play subscriptions are managed separately by the platform)

4. Data Retention Timeline

  • Account data: Permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • Event data: Removed immediately upon account deletion
  • AI processing data (voice recordings, images): Deleted immediately after real-time processing; never stored permanently
  • Log data: Automatically deleted after 90 days

5. Important Notes

  • Account deletion is irreversible. Once confirmed, your data cannot be recovered.
  • If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel platform subscriptions.
  • After deletion, your email address will be disassociated and can be used to create a new account.
