Overview

Oriji Countdown ("Oriji," "we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered countdown and event reminder application that integrates horoscope and divination features, weather services, calendar management, and intelligent reminders. We understand the importance of your privacy and this Privacy Policy describes in detail how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.

Guest Mode

This Application supports usage without creating an account ("Guest Mode"). When using the Application in Guest Mode:

  • All data (events, reminders, preferences) is stored locally on your device only and is not transmitted to our servers
  • We do not collect any personal information or account-related data in Guest Mode
  • If you later choose to create an account, your locally stored data can be synced to the cloud to enable backup and cross-device access
  • Certain features that require server-side processing (such as AI voice/image recognition, event collaboration, and tarot challenges) are only available after creating an account

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our services:

1.1 Account Information

  • Email address, display name, and profile picture
  • Third-party login information (Apple, Google, Facebook account identifiers)
  • Date of birth and place of birth (used for horoscope calculations, optional)
  • Invite codes used during registration and referral relationship records

1.2 AI Voice Data

  • When you use the voice event creation feature, we temporarily process your voice input
  • Voice data is used solely for real-time speech-to-text conversion and intelligent time information recognition
  • Voice data is deleted immediately after processing is complete and is not permanently stored
  • Voice-to-text conversion is performed by your device's built-in speech services. The transcribed text may then be processed by our AI service to extract event details

1.3 Image Data

  • When you use the photo capture or image recognition feature, we process the images you provide
  • Image data is used solely for AI-based event information recognition (such as dates, times, and locations)
  • Original image data is not retained after processing is complete

1.4 Location Data

  • With your authorization, we access your geographic location only while you are actively using the Application ("when in use")
  • Location data is used to provide localized weather forecast services for your events
  • We only obtain the necessary level of location accuracy (city level) and do not track your precise movements or collect location data in the background
  • You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device's system settings

1.5 Horoscope and Divination Data

  • Horoscope calculations are based on the date of birth you provide
  • Personal tarot card draw results and history are stored locally on your device
  • Tarot challenge data (mutual draws between friends) is transmitted to and stored on our servers to enable the social feature
  • AI-generated tarot interpretations for challenges are processed server-side and shared between participants
  • Horoscope data is not associated with your real identity for any other purposes

1.6 Event and Reminder Data

  • Events, reminders, and calendar data you create
  • Event collaboration and sharing information (including collaborator roles, permissions, and shared event content visible to invited members)
  • Reminder preference settings (sound, vibration, notification method)

1.7 Device and Usage Data

  • Device model and operating system version
  • Application usage statistics (anonymized)
  • Crash reports and diagnostic information

2. Use of Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Providing, maintaining, and improving our core services (event reminders, calendar management)
  • Processing AI voice and image recognition requests
  • Calculating and displaying personalized horoscopes
  • Providing location-based weather forecast services
  • Enabling event sharing and collaboration features
  • Sending reminder notifications and service-related communications
  • Protecting user safety and preventing abuse
  • Analyzing usage patterns to improve user experience

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to process data:

  • Qwen (Tongyi Qianwen): AI-powered natural language processing and content generation
  • Apple WeatherKit: Weather data services (not associated with personally identifiable information)
  • Apple Push Notification Service: Push notification delivery
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging: Android push notification delivery
  • Apple/Google/Facebook Sign-In: Third-party authentication
  • RevenueCat: Subscription management and in-app purchase processing (collects purchase history, subscription status, and device identifiers)

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Collaboration Features: With your consent, event information is shared with collaborators you have invited
  • Service Providers: With partners who assist us in operating our services (such as cloud storage and AI processing)
  • Legal Requirements: When required to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement the following measures to protect your data:

  • All data transmissions are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
  • Sensitive data (such as passwords) is stored using industry-standard encryption

6. Data Retention

  • Account data: Permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion
  • Event data: Items in the trash are automatically deleted after 30 days
  • AI processing data (voice/images): Deleted immediately after real-time processing
  • Location data: Only the most recent location is retained for weather services
  • Log data: Automatically deleted after 90 days

7. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection laws (including the GDPR and CCPA), you have the following rights:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right of Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data
  • Right of Erasure: Request deletion of your account and all associated data

  • Right to Restrict Processing: Restrict the manner in which we process your data
